I actually participated in the Harvard Dialect Study; I'm not sure how much my input skewed the results. I'm the child of a Chicago mother and a Long Island father, raised in
Oak Ridge, TN
with extended vacations in the Chicago suburbs. (I was actually able to stretch the resulting internalized regional conflict into half of a Self, Culture, and Society essay last year.)
